relaxed cut tailored jacket in mediumweight wool. features boxy padded shoulders, notch lapels with felted facing, flap side pockets, inner chest and utility pockets, faux cuffs, and a ventless back. finished with partial interior lining in iridescent (body) and striped (sleeve) cupro. horn buttons throughout.

early '00s tailoring from y's for men with a slightly boxy, regular cut reflective of the era. the main fabric features black and grey melange yarns for the warp and weft with a glossy, luxurious surface finish and a looser weave for breathability. excellent interior finish with 'odaiba' style tailoring where the inner welt pockets are integrated into the inner facing - a more expensive and time consuming method of construction more commonly used in bespoke items. one caveat is that the sleeves seem to have been tailored by a previous owner, making an adjustment at the armhole (resulting in a point of puckering at back right armhole - please see closeup photo) but leaving the original cuff in tact. it has not dramatically affected the sleeve length, but moreso the angle of the shoulders it seems - but to a degree that is hardly noticeable visually. item has been priced to reflect this. tagged size medium, recommended for size smalls and mediums.
