notes timeless staple from early '00s y's for men with subtle flair. very hard to come across wool gabardine of this weight - extra heavy with a tough, robust thickness and a slightly brushed surface that can serve throughout cold winter climates. features a clean waistband-free construction with a side stripe in self fabric that runs the full length of the trouser, also acting as the side beltloops held in place with extra long bartacks. the leg retains its original full length, but the previous owner has had 9cm or 3.5 inches cuffed towards the inside and finished with invisible handstitching. i would personally recommend letting out this amount and finishing the hem to your desired length, as the heaviness of the fabric currently creates bulk and makes the cuffed portion 'stand' rather than breaking over the shoe naturally. the same goes for the center pressed legs - i would recommend ironing / steaming them out as the fabric falls more naturally when done so. yohji trousers usually come without pressed creases, but dry cleaners will often iron them in as it's the protocol for formalwear. i believe the intention / look is meant to be more rugged and carefree. recommended for waist 32.
