Cool Marine

For men who work at sea, the proving ground is the harsh winter ocean. What protects them from the freezing cold wind and sea spray is the peacoat. Its functionality is expressed in the rational, streamlined silhouette — such as its short waist length, hand-warmer pockets, and double-breasted front that can be fastened left-over-right or right-over-left. The peacoat is firmly tailored using thick wool like flannel, tightly woven to block the wind. There seems to be an essence unique to menswear in this.

Right: A charcoal gray flannel peacoat with 8 buttons. The crisp styling with a tie is given a more casual image by pairing it with leather pants. Coat: Y's for men (¥39,800), Shirt: Comme des Garçons Homme, Pants: Monsieur Nicole, Tie: Ermenegildo Zegna

New Dark Suit

Even though both are formalwear, a dark suit is less ceremonious than a tuxedo. For a more relaxed atmosphere, like a casual party or semi-formal gathering, a dark suit can subtly express a man's sense of style. However, precisely because it can be worn with the ease of a business suit, one must not neglect the details of how it’s styled. For example, whether to go with a single-breasted three-piece or a double-breasted two-piece. And when it comes to one of the key elements of a man’s outfit — the tie — there are various choices, from a black tie to a bow tie. A black velveteen suit (Y's for men)

Man on the Stage

Traditional Fusion ― Comme des Garçons Homme
Tradition revived with a modern sensibility

Among the many types of jackets, mastering the tailored jacket is the foundation of men’s fashion. It’s an essential item that every man should own. Depending on the mood of the day, it can be worn with a button-down shirt and tie, or with a fine cashmere sweater — offering versatile styling that can be chic or casual. Here, the look pairs a jacket made of diagonal tweed with a moss green wool polo shirt. Jacket: ¥42,000, Shirt: ¥14,000, Pants: ¥9,800 (Comme des Garçons Homme)

(pg 4, 5)
Jackets (From the right): ¥65,000, ¥42,000, ¥43,000, ¥42,000, (Comme des Garçons Homme)

Real Black ― Y’S for men
Expressing gentleness in metallic black

Wearing clothes doesn’t have to be about loudly asserting one’s fashion sense — this is the essence of men’s style. It’s not the clothing itself, but the personality of the man wearing it that shapes the overall image. For men who value an original sense of aesthetics born from a grounded, authentic lifestyle — not something superficial — Y’s for men creates a form of mode that never feels forced. It’s not about what to wear, but how to wear it — a philosophy that overlaps with the life’s work of men who truly understand style.
