The wool gabardine used during this era (pre-bankruptcy) feels of much better quality than current items. A buttery smooth Lampo zipped collar in antique gunmetal finish unzips to reveal a packable hood in lightweight cotton silk, complete with metal eyelets and premium wax coated drawstrings for a delicate, luxurious point of contrast from the rest of the garment. The epaulettes can be fixed to cover or pass through the loops for a more pronounced or subdued look. The double zip front also uses heavy duty Italian Lampo zippers (almost never seen in Yohji garments) that feel like a dream to use. The cuffs are also adjustable in 2 ways, allowing for various styling options with the tightening of the wrist and \/ or usage of the wrist guard that partially covers the back of the hand. Plenty of storage with dimensional chest pockets, side pockets, and 3 inner chest pockets. As expected from Yohji the interior is not a place of compromise but rather of private luxury, with a fine cotton silk lining for the body and silky smooth cupro for the sleeves. Looks amazing layered under heavier outerwear \/ coats in fall-winter with the hood out.
